Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChatSalon, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use ChatSalon. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to terminate access for anyone we believe to be underage.

Service Description

ChatSalon is a free, interest-based social platform for video, audio, and text chat. On the mobile app, users must sign in with Apple and select interests to be matched with like-minded people. On the web, account creation is optional. Matching is based on shared interests when available.

Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

ChatSalon has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. This includes, but is not limited to: nudity, sexual content, harassment, hate speech, violence, and illegal activity. Users who violate this policy will be immediately removed from the platform and permanently banned. We act on all reports within 24 hours.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• •Transmit any content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene.
• •Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate other users.
• •Engage in hate speech or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, or any other characteristic.
• •Spam, advertise, or promote products or services.
• •Engage in any illegal activity or encourage others to do so.
• •Record, screenshot, or capture any content from chat sessions without the other user's consent.
• •Attempt to identify, track, or contact other users outside the platform.
• •Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the service.
• •Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

Content Moderation

We actively moderate content and behavior on ChatSalon. Our moderation includes automated profanity filtering, user reporting, and manual review. We reserve the right to monitor, investigate, and take action on reported behavior. This may include disconnecting users, temporarily or permanently banning access, and cooperating with law enforcement when required. Users can report violations using the in-app reporting feature. All reports are reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours.

Privacy

Your use of ChatSalon is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use information. Please review it carefully.

Disclaimers

ChatSalon is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. While we use interest-based matching and content moderation, we are not responsible for the behavior, actions, or content of other users.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChatSalon and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero, as ChatSalon is free).

Child Safety

ChatSalon has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or the exploitation of minors. Users must be 18 or older. Any content or behavior that exploits or endangers minors will result in immediate termination, preservation of available evidence, and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities. If you encounter a user who appears to be underage or engaging in conduct that endangers minors, report them immediately using the in-app report feature.

Reporting and Blocking

You can report any user during a session by tapping the report button. You can also block users to prevent future matches with them. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. We may take action including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans. Blocked users will not be matched with you in future sessions. You may also disconnect from any user at any time.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to ChatSalon at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChatSalon, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app and on our website. Continued use of ChatSalon after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
